What's inside

  • The Temporal Nerve — 1.5 cm anterior to tragus → 1.5 cm above lateral brow. Stay sub-cutaneous or sub-periosteal; avoid the mid-plane.
  • The Midface Foramina — zygomaticofacial & infraorbital. If you're not on the periosteum in the midface, you're likely in a high-risk zone.
  • The Modiolus — not a target for volume. An intersection. Over-fill it and the smile distorts.
  • The Mental Foramen — sits at the bicuspid line; deep boluses must be placed precisely lateral to avoid nerve impingement.
